Wood Craft for Christmas - Scroll Saw Project - Scottie Christmas Tree Ornament

A Christmas tree ornament for all Scottish Terrier fans. This little scottie is decked out in his finest collar and bell to add some cheer to your Christmas tree.

|
|
|
|
For this project you will need:
- scrap piece of 4mm thick plywood
- longer piece of 1 cm wide red and white checked ribbon for his collar
- red bell
- red piece of raffia for hanging
- drill with 3.5 mm bit
- acrylic paint in black and white

Instructions:
1. Print out the scottie body and transfer it on the wood. Saw the piece out and sand it down.
2. Paint the body black on all sides letting it dry on each side before painting the next side.
3. Follow the instructions below and dry brush the edges with white paint.
4. Attach the ribbon to the bell and tie the ribbon into a bow around the dog’s neck.
5. Drill a hole for its eye.
6. Find the point on the dog where the hole for hanging should be drilled. Depending on the weight of the bell it will be between the neck and shoulder of the dog. After drilling the hole, tie the red piece of raffia through the hole.
