Instructions:
1. First you need to remove and discard all but the top printed layer of the paper napkin. Then carefully apply a thin layer of paper napkin glue to the wood. Press the paper napkin gently onto the wood, smoothing out all of the wrinkles that you can with your fingers. Now apply a second coat of paper napkin glue over the motif using a soft flat paint brush. Start at the center and work your way to the outsides of the motif. Let your motif dry before continuing. 2. Now you can saw out the motif using your scroll saw. Sand the edges and backside of the wood smooth if necessary. 3. Paint the backside of the wood as well as the sides of the wood where red is seen (such as the hats and scarves of the animals). Also paint your stick red. Paint the sides of the animals brown where brown is visible. Let all of these dry before continuing. 4. Paint clear varnish over the wooden figures, the backsides of the wooden figures and the stick to give them a nice luster. 5. Once the varnish is dry, you can hot glue the wooden figure to the stick. Tie a bow consisting of two ribbons and hot glue it to the front of the stick, under the animal.
