Wooden letters are fun to decorate. You can buy finished letters at your craft store or you or a woodworker you know can easily saw these letters out. Once you have your letters, this project is fast and easy to do.
For this project you will need:
- wooden letters N O E L printed out to a size of preference - these were the “Victoria LET” font. Enlarge them as you need and then print them out. The letters below are an example how these look. - wooden board to glue the letters onto (length and width will depend how large you print your letters out) - red and white acrylic paint - hot glue gun
Instructions:
1. Paint the letters N and E red and the letters O and L white and let dry. Paint the wooden board red and let it dry. 2. Paint patterns onto each letter as you like. If you have stencils with pretty patterns, this project would be a good way to use them. In this project, the “N” was decoratively painted with white paint in an ornate pattern. The “O” was made using a red plaid pattern. The “N” was simply splattered with white paint to give it a random pattern. The “L” was painted with red snowflakes. 3. Arrange the letters on the board first to see how to position them before gluing them on. You can lightly mark the positions with a pencil. Then place hot glue underneath each letter and glue onto the board.
