Due to the wavy structure and the rainbow colors, this bag has at the first glance the look of a crochet hand bag out of the 70’s . But in reality it is made out of a stretchy corrugated cardboard. The material is perfect for projects like this because it is not stiff and bends nicely. The tote is made in about an hour. Because of its size, it will not hold too many items but small flat items will fit in it.
Another suggestion would be to make the bag out of solid colored corrugated cardboard and then make logo patches to decorate the front of it. If you cannot get a stretchy wavy corrugated cardboard, the normal type will work as well. It just will not have that “crocheted” look to it.
