3-D Sequin Ornaments
Have you ever decorated polystyrene balls with sequins? It is a project that takes more time than you assume it would but looks really pretty and sparkly when finished. And if you enjoy making such ornaments, this project takes that one step further and adds a new dimension to the ornaments.

For this project you will need:
- polystyrene balls in a size of your choice - rather start with smaller balls like 5 centimeter balls as they really grow because of the added layer sequins in a color of choice - bugle beads 1 centimeter or less in length in a color that is the same as or one that compliments the color of your sequins - straight pins 18 mm in length - craft glue
|
|
Instructions:
1. Insert a sequin on your pin, then a bugle bead and then another sequin and push the pin into the ball. If you want to be really sure the pin will hold into the ball, you can add a drop of glue to the tip of the pin before inserting it into the ball. 2. Add the next sequin/bugle bead/sequin onto a pin and push the pin right next to the first one. 3. Keep creating new pins and pushing them into the ball until you have covered the complete ball.
