Needle Felted Holstein Cow

Cows live such a peaceful life grazing in the fields. Holstein cows or also known as Fresian cows are easily recognized because of their black and white spots and each cow is unique in its appearance.

For this project you will need:

- felting wool in the colors of black, white and peach
- cookie cutter in the shape of a cow
- assorted sized felting needles
- foam mat to protect working surface
- larger seed beads for the eyes and smaller seed beads for the snout
- thread and needle to stitch the beads on the cow

Illustrated Craft Tutorial: Follow this basic Needle Felting Tutorial to create a cow. Place the colors in the appropriate areas and needle felt until you feel the cow is firm and complete. Sew on the eyes and nostrils when finished.
