Birthday Cards - Greeting Cards - ”Maritime Thoughts”
Who does not enjoy summer at the sea? The experience is wonderful with the cool breeze blowing in your face, watching sailboats sailing the open waters and hunting seashells on the beach? This card is a perfect all purpose card for the summer months and is created with the paper napkin decoupage technique. The technique can also be applied to fabric. The fusible web gets fused to the backside of the material and the motifs cut out. Either way, it is quickly crafted and is lots of fun to create.

Instructions:
1. Select your motifs from the paper napkin or fabric and follow the instructions below to prepare them for the card. You will need a larger motif and 2 smaller motifs such as seashells. 2. Cut the larger motif out with decorative edged scissors so that the white cardstock makes a 5mm border around the motif. See picture. 3. Cut the smaller motifs out exactly. Place 3-D pads on the backsides of them. 4. Glue the larger motif onto the card and then stick the smaller motifs partially on it and partially on the card. 5. Using the lacè template, cut 2 open triangles on both sides of the top of the card. Fold the triangles back according to the directions. Glue a sheet of white cardstock to the backside of the front of the card so the white shows through through the lacè design.
