Spring Crafts for Kids - Paper Crafts - Easy Flower Power Bookmark

Reading is a lot more fun with colorful bookmarks to save the pages! Kids will have fun creating these using different paper punchers and different colored papers. This marker is just one example of what they can do.

 

 

Spring Craft for Kids - Flower Power Bookmarker Craft Idea

For this project you will need:

- white cardstock
- lilac, purple, dark purple and pink cardstock
- jumbo puncher with flower
- stick glue
- clear contact foil
- hole puncher
- eyelet and eyelet tool
- satin ribbon
- scissors and ruler

* parents or supervisors may wish to help when applying the contact foil to the project

Ages 7 and older

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Cut a strip of white cardstock the size of choice. Cut a second strip of lilac cardstock slightly smaller than the white strip. Use stick glue and adhere the lilac strip on the white one keeping an even margin on all sides.
2. Punch out a numerous amount of flowers and arrange them on the bookmarker in a pleasing way. Adhere them slightly to hold them in place.
3. Cut a piece of contact paper larger than the bookmark and stick it to the front side.
4. Cut a second piece and stick it now to the back.
5. Trim excess foil away from the sides. You may leave a slight border if you wish.
6. Punch a hole in the top and insert and secure the eyelet.
7. Tie a piece of ribbon through the hole.
