Autumn Crafts - Greeting Card Crafts - Mushroom

Mushrooms remind us of the typical colors of fall. The brown and beige tones are warm and represent the changing beauty of nature at this time of the year. If you know someone with a autumn birthday, why not make them a card representing the season.

Supplies Needed:

- piece of jute or other natural colored even
  weaved fabric
- a left over piece of natural fiber paper
- a torn piece of beige paper smaller than
the width and height of the card
- vellum with a birthday wish printed out on
  it matching the
  tone of the card
- clear double sided sticky tape
- fusible web
- a piece of white cardboard
- hole puncher
- and eyelets in copper
- stick glue

Fall Greeting or Birthday Card - Card with Mushroom Motif

Instructions:

Use the photo as reference for placement.

1. Follow the instructions below for adhering the mushroom motif on to cardboard with fusible web. Lie this piece aside for the moment.
2. Take the ripped piece of beige cardboard and glue it centered onto the card.
3. Glue the fiber paper diagonally over the piece of cardboard.
4. Cut a piece of the jute and place the double sided sticky tape on the back side. Stick this onto the card slightly diagonal over the beige paper.
5. Cut a piece of double sided sticky tape to fit the back of the mushroom and adhere it to the prepared piece. Remove the paper backing and stick it onto the jute piece.
6. Make 2 holes on either side of the printed vellum and through the card. Secure the eyelets into these holes.
