In the summer you often see fields speckled with daisies. There is something cheery about such a field that makes you want to sit in the middle of it and enjoy its beauty. If you would like to bring a bit of that cheer in your home, you can create this daisy plant stick. It is made using cork and has a natural and simple look to it and blends in nicely amongst your plants.
For this project you will need:
- sheet of cork - wooden dowel stick that is 4-6 millimeters thick and a length appropriate for your needs - acrylic paint in the colors of white, fresh green, dark green, orange and yellow - paint brush - craft glue
Instructions:
1. Print out the daisy pattern and transfer the markings onto the cork. Cut the pieces then out. 2. Paint the leaf in two shades of green and use a wet in wet technique to blend the colors. 3. Paint the daisy white and highlight the edges with yellow paint. 4. Paint the daisy center yellow and highlight the edges with orange paint. 5. Paint the stick green. 6. Once all of the pieces are painted, assemble them and glue them together.
