Tin Can Desk Organizer
Before discarding used cans, consider creating lovely decorations for your home with them. With just a bit of twine or rope and a few round wooden half balls, you can give a can a face lift and make it into an organizer for your desk.

For this project you will need:
- clean large can (like the 16 oz cans) - twine in a natural looking color - wooden half balls in a size of your choice (depends on how large you make your flowers - the size should cover the flower center). These are optional. Maybe you would like the flowers without them. - strong wide double sided adhesive - like carpet tape - hot glue gun

|
Instructions:
1. First cover the can complete with the double sided adhesive. Then wrap the twine tightly around the can until it is completely covered. You can start at the top and work your way down or start at the bottom and work your way up. Make sure to secure the ends so they do not unravel. A great to do this is to add a drop of glue underneath the beginning and end. Cover the lid by starting at the exact center and working your way to the rim. 2. To create the flowers, follow the instructions here on the Bug Bytes >>> Twine Flowers. She has an easy to follow tutorial to make these. Make as many as you like to cover your can and hot glue them then on. Cover the centers (if you like) with the half round wooden balls.
