Corded Drink Coaster
Leftover cording was used to decorate a plain coaster to add a touch of elegance to coffee break and to protect the table at the same time.
For this project you will need:
- plain coaster - cording in color of choice (amount depends on the size of coaster and how tight you wrap the cording around the coaster) - strong double sided adhesive or fabric glue - scissors
Instructions:
1. Apply double sided adhesive to the entire surface of the coaster. 2. Find the middle point and press the first end of the coil to this point. Start wrapping the coil around this beginning and continue until the entire coaster is covered. Cut the end and add a drop of glue to secure the end from fraying. 3. Turn the coaster over and place heavy books or other heavy object onto it to help press the cording firmly onto the double sided adhesive. Leave overnight if possible.
