Set of Birthday Tags

A paper napkin with cupcake motifs gave the idea for this project. These tags were created in a jiffy and add are a nice embellishment for your wrapped package. Make a whole set so that you will always have one ready when you need it.

For this project you will need:

- garment tag or any tag shape you like
- white cardstock
- paper napkin with cupcake motifs
- fusible web
- scrapbook paper (the best is to choose a paper that has a white background and very small pattern on it, so the paper does
  not take away from the appearance of the paper napkin motif)
- hole puncher
- gems or sequins for embellishing
- gem glue
- matching ribbon
- silicone or rubber stamp with birthday message
- black stamping ink

This is the paper napkin that was used for this project.

Instructions for one tag:

1. Cut a tag shape of choice of white card or paste white card onto a garment tag for extra durability.
2. Cover half of the tag vertically with your patterned paper.
3. Punch a hole in the top of the tag.
4. Follow the tutorial for “Paper Napkin Applique With Fusible Web” to iron the napkin motifs onto the tag.
5. Stamp message onto the tag.
6. Glue gems or sequins on to the tag to embellish it.
7. Tie a matching ribbon through the hole for hanging.
