Decoupage Postal Stamp Box

If you collect stamps off of letters because the motifs are just too pretty to throw away, then you may be wondering what to do with them. Other than using them to decorate cards and possibly scrapbook pages, you can decoupage them to a papermache box. This project is a wonderful way to display the stamps and is practical at the same time. The box can be used to keep all of the remaining stamps you do not require.

Crafting with Postage Stamps - Decoupage Box

For this project you will need:

- used stamps
- any paper mache box or shoe box
- decoupage glue or modge-podge glue
- paint brushes

What is Decoupage?
The word “decoupage” has its origin from the French word “decouper” which simply means “to cut out”. The art of decoupage involves cutting out small paper objects and arranging them in a decorative way on another object such as wood. The final step is to glue them and seal them with numerous coats of varnish for a smooth result.
