Maritime Birthday Card for Men
Sometimes it is not easy making greeting cards for men because many scrapbook papers seem to have a feminine touch to them. But the scrapbook paper pack from K&Company called “Sea Glass” has pages with a maritime touch to them which make great backgrounds for creating birthday cards for all genders. This card is made in just a few minutes, but the glaze detail (optional) on the ship does need some time to dry. If you are in a hurry, you can leave this step out.

Instructions:
1. Using stick glue, cover the bottom half of the front of the card with the striped side of the paper and the top half with the sailboat side of the paper. 2. Cut a blue strip from the striped paper and adhere it across the card covering the seam where both papers touch. 3. Punch three small holes on the right side of the blue strip and insert the brads in these holes. 4. Die cut and emboss a scalloped circle from the striped paper to fit the front of the card. Now die cut a deckled rectangle from another sheet of paper from the pad (the paper is blue). The rectangle should be large enough to hold your stamped message. 5. Find out on the Fiskars template which circle is slightly smaller than your die cut scalloped circle. Place this circle over a sailboat motif of the sailboat paper that will fit within the circle. Cut out the circle and adhere it with foam adhesive to the scalloped circle. Adhere the scalloped circle now to the card using double sided adhesive. 6. Stamp “Happy Birthday” onto the rectangle and adhere it on the card using foam adhesive.
