Items that we may have around the house like printed paper napkins, fabric, wrapping paper, magazines, etc... can be used as embellishments. These tutorials show you different possibilities how you can combine these with different adhesives to create easy decorations to adorn your cards, scrapbooks or whatever you wish to decorate.

Part One: Creating Stickers Using Paper Napkins, Wrapping Paper, Used Cards, etc... >>> Paper napkins, wrapping paper and used cards that have motifs on them can be used to create embellishments for your paper craft projects. These tutorials will show you how to create stickers using double-sided adhesive paper or tape. Creating Stickers Using Paper Napkins and Double-Sided Adhesive Paper: Any size napkin can be used as long as it fits within the dimensions of the paper. Creating Stickers Using Paper Napkins and Double-Sided Adhesive Tape: For this technique, you can only use small motifs that will fit within the width of the tape. Actually the technique is the same as above. Creating Stickers Using Wrapping Paper or Other Sources and Double-Sided Adhesive Tape or Paper: Like the techniques above, you can also expand your motif possibilities by looking around the house for other paper items like wrapping paper, for example, that can be used to create stickers. Creating Embellishments Using Printed Vellum: With vellum you can create either stickers or more sturdy motifs, depending on your needs.     Part Two: Creating Fabric Motifs to Use as Embellishments for Cards, Scrapbooks, Paper Crafts, etc... >>> For all seasons of the year, you can find fabric with all sorts of motifs to almost any subject. It is a lot of fun using these motifs for crafting projects. These tutorials will show you how to prepare these motifs so they can be easily used. Creating Fabric Motifs as Embellishments With Fabric and Aslan Foil: This is such a quick and easy way to use fabric for embellishments. A wonderful advantage of this technique is that the fabric motif will not fray. Creating Fabric Motifs as Embellishments Using Fabric and Fusible Web: Fusible web can be purchased in sewing and fabric stores and also at some craft stores. It is an iron-on adhesive for fabric which enables you to create fabric motifs to embellish cards, scrapbooks, etc... The motifs can also be used to create appliques to embellish other fabrics as well. In this particular tutorial, the motif gets directly fused onto the surface such as a card or scrapbook. Creating 3-D Fabric Motifs as Embellishments Using Fabric and Fusible Web: Fabric motifs can be adhered as 3-D embellishments to cards and scrapbooks. The tutorial is similar to the one just above this one but goes a step further.     Part Three: The Wonderful Techniques and Possibilities of Using Motifs From Paper Napkins for Cards and Scrapbooks >>> Paper napkins with motifs are almost a shame to use for dining alone. There are so many pretty and artistic motifs for all seasons of the year and these can be used for embellishments for cards and scrapbooks, too. Most paper napkins are 2 or 3 ply. When creating any of these projects, only the top motif layer of the napkin is needed. Discard the white layers. Creating Paper Napkin Motifs Using Paper Napkin Glue and Paper Napkins: Create pretty and stable motifs very easily using this technique. Creating Paper Napkin Motifs Using Paper Napkins and Aslan Foil: This is an extremely easy way to create quick motifs. Here a flower motif was created and then a 3-D version was created to give the embellishment more dimension. Creating Paper Napkin Motifs Using Contact Paper, Stick Glue and Cardboard: These motifs are very shiny. The contact paper (clear thin one-sided adhesive foil) at the same time holds the napkin taut while you adhere it to the cardboard or cardstock. Creating Paper Napkin Motifs Using Fusible Web: Just like you can use fusible web on fabric, you can also use it for paper napkins. The advantage is that the motifs perfectly adhere to their underground, they are wrinkle free and there is no messy glue involved. This technique shows you how to create a flat motif and takes it a step further to create a dimensional 3-D embellishment.
