4th of July Card - Independence Day Invitation - Patriotic Card - “Celebrate”

This card shows lots of American spirit in the bold colors of red, white and blue! The card can be used as an invitation to a 4th of July barbecue or picnic or as a greeting card to give around the Independence Day holiday.

American Patriotic Card - Independence Day Card - Celebrate

For this project you will need:

- white cardstock measuring 15 x 21 cm and folded into a
 15 x 10.5 cm card
- white cardstock strip measuring 4.5 x 12 cm
- 3 x white cardstock squares each measuring 4.5 x 4.5 cm
- blue cardstock square measuring also 4.5 x 4.5 cm
- red cardstock strip measuring 4.75 x 12.5 cm
- 2 x red cardstock strips measuring 1 x 15 cm
- scrap pieces of white and blue cardstock
- Sizzix™ Sidekick®
- Sizzix™ 13” Cutting Pad (extra long)
- Sizzix™ Sizzlit® Decorative Strip -“Wingo Zingo”™
  Alphabet
- paper punch with country star
- pricking needle and soft underground for punching holes
- silver beading wire
- double sided adhesive
- stick glue
- 3-D foam tape
- 4 mini red brads

Instructions:

1. First adhere the thin red strips to the bottom of the card.
2. Adhere the white long cardstock strip onto the red cardstock strip. Die cut the word “Celebrate” using the Sizzix machine and arrange the letters onto the white strip and stick them on with the stick glue. More about how to use the Sizzix™ Sidekick® in the link below. Mix the lower case and the upper case letters to give the word a whimsical look.
3. Use double sided adhesive and adhere the strip now centered onto the card above the 2 thin red strips. Punch a hole in each of the corners of the strip and insert the brads.
4. Prick holes around each of the cardstock squares. The distance between the holes is 5 mm. Now punch out 2 blue stars and one white star and adhere each of these on an opposite colored square. Prick 2 holes in the center of each star like button holes. From the back side insert the wire ends into the holes and bring the wire pieces to the front. Spiral coil the ends and twist them at the base where the star is to secure them.
5. Use 3-D foam tape strips to adhere the 3 squares onto the card.
