Black Beaded Necklace and Earrings

One can never have enough jewelry. Sometimes you need fancier necklaces for nice occasions and sometimes it is just enough to have casual necklaces for every day wear. This necklace looks great with black attire and below you will find a set of matching earrings you can create to go along with the necklace.

For this project you will need:

- black colored waxed cotton beading cord
- assorted black and silver beads with larger holes
- set of end caps with hook and eye for finishing off
- jewelry glue

To make earrings, you need a set of earring end caps with earring hook attached. Knot your ends and glue the knot inside of the cap and let it dry thoroughly.

Instructions:

1. Take 5 x 80 cm long strands of waxed cotton cord and tie off all together at one end.
2. Add a bead to any one of the 5 ends and knot off again at 5 cm from the first knot.
3. Add 3 beads to any 3 ends and then knot off at 7 cm from previous knot.
4. Now add a bead to each of the 5 ends and knot off at 10 cm from the previous knot.
5. Add 3 beads to any 3 ends and then knot off at 7 cm from previous knot.
6. Add a bead to any one of the 5 ends and knot off again at 5 cm from the previous knot.
7. Make sure the first and last knot are really secure and then cut off the loose ends of both knotted ends.
8. Add glue to the insides of both end caps and insert the knots into these end caps and let dry completely before wearing the necklace.
