How to Fold a Paper Jacob’s Ladder

This is a fun folding technique for young and old alike. Use it to make figures or even legs and arms for paper figures.

 

 

Jacob's Ladder Tutorial 1 250

1. This is shown in 2 colors so it is easy to follow. First, adhere the silver strip at a right angle to the gold strip.

2. Take the gold strip and pull it to the left....

3. ... and press flat once the edges are aligned.

4. Fold the silver strip up and over the gold and press flat once the edges are aligned.

5. Fold the gold to the right over the silver and press flat once the edges are aligned.

6. Fold the silver back down over the gold and press flat once the edges are aligned.

7. Continue steps 2-6 until the paper is used up. Glue the last folded strip to the previous and cut any excess still hanging off.  Once finished, you can pull it open like an accordian.
