Wooden Easter Bunny Embellished With Scrapbook Paper

This sweet bunny is quick to saw out and the project is finished in one afternoon. When you use thick wood, it can stand on its own. You can of course create a base for it if you like. Choose a sheet of printed scrapbook paper and acrylic paint to match your decor. Paper with smaller prints work better with this craft.

For this project you will need:

- 1.8 cm thick wood for the bunny
- a sheet scrapbook paper of choice
- decoupage glue of choice
- acrylic paint that coordinates with the paper
- ribbon that matches the paper and paint
- a 8mm pink half bead for the nose
- a 6mm button for the eyse
- hot glue gun

 (The bunny was only embellished one one side. If you want to embellish both sides, you will need to double the paper, bead and button)

Craft Pattern: Easter Bunny Template For this project, the tail was omitted from the template.

Instructions:

1. Print out the pattern so that the bunny is 18.5 cm high (about 7.3 inches). Trace the shape onto the thick 1.8 cm wood and saw it out. If necessary, sand it down to make it smooth.
2. Paint the bunny shape in the chosen color on all sides. Cut out a bunny shape from the scrapbook paper. Once the paint is dry, adhere the paper to the bunny and let it dry. Brush on 2-3 more coats of the Modge Podge, letting the coats dry in between.
3. Create a bow and tie a ribbon around the neck of the bunny. Glue the bow to the ribbon.
4. Glue on the eye and nose.
