Winter Memo Pad Holder
Around here, cereal boxes or similar boxes never get thrown away. They are perfectly durable cardboards that can be used for all sorts of crafts. Here is an example of a repurposed cereal box that is now a pretty memo-pad holder to jot down the grocery list or any other message.

For this project you will need:
- cereal box - long memo pad block (this one was part of a 3er set at Ikea) - scrapbook paper with winter snowflakes (or other winter motif) - scrapbook paper with pattern to compliment snowflake paper - cardstock in a solid color that compliments both scrapbook papers - circle and slightly larger circle scallop dies and die cutting machine (not mandatory... you can also cut a circle and a slightly larger circle using decorative edged scissors) - decorative edged scissors - white brad - hole puncher and two eyelets - brown organza ribbon - stick glue - 3-D foam tape - double-sided adhesive

Instructions:
1. Measure the memo pad block you chose and cut a cereal box rectangle quite a bit larger than the memo pad itself. 2. Cover the rectangle with the snowflake paper. 3. Punch a hole at the top of the two corners and insert the eyelets. Tie the organza ribbon to the holes as a hanging loop. 4. Cut a strip of complimenting scrapbook paper that is the width of your rectangle. Place it over a solid piece of card and cut a small border at the top and bottom using the decorative edged scissors. Adhere it across the top of the rectangle. Cut or die-cut a circle out of the snowflake paper. Adhere it onto the solid card and cut it out with a die cut scallop or a circle cut out using decorative edged scissors. A brad in the middle adds and extra touch to the circle. Adhere the circle with 3-D foam tape. 5. Adhere the memo block with double-sided adhesive.
