Card with Hanging Hearts Valentine’s Day Card or Anniversary Card

It does not really have to be Valentine’s Day or an anniversary to give the one you love a card expressing your feelings. This card can be used for any occasion and any day of the year. It is really easy to make and will be cherished by the recipient especially if you take the time to make it yourself.

For this project you will need:

- 1 blank white card
- medium and dark pink scrapbook paper
- Fiskars Shape Boss with alphabet “Shape Template Letters 3”
- jumbo paper punch with country heart motif
- 2 small metal heart beads
- silver wire
- decorative edged scissors with postal stamp cut
- artist chalk in dark red or pink
- 3-D foam tape
- stick glue
- craft cutting knife
- ruler

Craft Pattern: Heart Templates

Instructions:

1. Cut out a 4.5 cm wide strip of dark pink scrapbook paper that is the height of your card. Chalk the edges.
2. Place this strip now on a piece of medium pink scrapbook paper. Cut a thin border on each side using the decorative edged scissors. Adhere this strip now on the right side of the card about 1 cm from the edge.
3. Use the Fiskars templates and create the word “LOVE”. Chalk the edges and adhere these now vertically down the strip.
4. Punch out 3 hearts. Poke a hole through the bottom of the first heart, through the top and bottom of the second heart and through the top of the third heart. Chalk the edges of the hearts. Now insert the wire to connect the hearts and add a metal wire before and after the middle heart. Secure the hearts by re-inserting the wire through the hole before continuing.
5. Place 3-D foam tape on the backside of the hearts and stick them now on the card.
6. Cut a very think strip of medium pink scrapbook paper and adhere this to the left side of the card.
