Cheerful Birds Birthday Card

Nothing says spring more than the little birds that cheer us every morning with their joyful song in the early months of the year. Though many of them sing to mark their territory, their songs can so pleasant for our ears and it feels like they are celebrating the season.

For this project you will need:

- white A6 card (10.6 cm x 14.8 cm) or a 4x6 inch card if in the United States)
- white and yellow cardstock
- clear or rubber stamp with birthday sentiment
- black embossing stamping ink
- clear embossing powder
- embossing heating gun
- 3-d bird stickers, bird buttons or your choice of bird embellishments
- die cutting machine of choice
- embossing folder with leaf stem (the one used here is from Cuttlebug)
- stick glue
- scissors
- ruler

This is how the prepared pieces look before assembling the card together.

Instructions:

1. Cut the white cardstock to a size of 9.5 x 13.75 cm and then emboss it with the leaf stem folder. Set aside for a moment.
2. Cut the yellow cardstock to a size of 10 x 14.25 cm and adhere it centered onto the card. Then adhere the embossed white cardstock also centered over the yellow cardstock.
3. Stamp the birthday sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out to a size you prefer. Then place the sentiment onto yellow cardstock and cut it out with a very small border. Adhere the sentiment centered to the bottom of the card.
4. Then randomly stick the little birds to the card.
