Rainbow Picture

After years of crafting and buying buttons, beads and gems on sale, lots of these little bits and bobs start to collect. A colorful and fun way to diminish the stash a little is to create a rainbow picture. Here is an example of how such a picture can look.

Rainbow Picture 1

For this project, these items were used:

- 20 x 20 centimeter (close to 8 x 8 inches) stretched canvas...or any size of your choice
- jewel or jewelry glue (optional: hot glue or a very strong glue can be used as well)
- buttons, small mosaic tiles, beads, half beads, gems, sequins or any other small colorful items you may have around
- pencil

Instructions:

If necessary, use a pencil to lightly draw a pattern to follow onto the canvas so it is easy to follow. Start with your first color and just continually add glue and fit the pieces to fill the areas. Continue in this manner until the entire canvas is covered with your treasures.

The pattern here was a spiraling one but you can also create figures, stripes or whatever pleases you.
