Make Baskets Using Oilcloth Tablecloths (With Pineapple Motifs)
Oilcloth tablecloths are perfect to use to sew decorations and useful things for the home. Here a tablecloth with cheerful summery pineapple motifs was cut up and used to create practical baskets. The fun part about these baskets are that they are reversible. One side is fabric and the other side is the tablecloth. Either way looks cute. These are incredibly easy to sew and inexpensive, too. All you need are two pieces of same sized fabric and basic sewing supplies. One tablecloth can be cut into several pieces so this makes this craft also inexpensive if you choose to make more baskets. The illustrated tutorial in the link below shows how to sew one.

For this project you will need:
- one piece of oilcloth tablecloth with motifs of choice (the size used for both these baskets was 30 x 50 cm) - By changing the floor size of the baskets you can achieve different sizes with the same measurements - the tutorial explains how in detail - one piece of fabric to use for the lining (for this basket yellow was the perfect choice) - a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies
