Rainbow Paper Butterfly
This colorful butterfly is really fun and easy to make as a room or window decoration. Because of the many hues in rainbow colored paper, no two butterflies will look alike. The butterfly is quite similar to the transparent butterfly. Follow all of the steps in the tutorial except that you will be using 1 individual piece of rainbow paper instead of many torn small pieces to fill the holes. Trace the butterfly lightly on your rainbow paper and cut just inside of these lines to guarantee that it will be smaller than the outer black paper. This then gets glued between the 2 black outer pieces. This project is recommended for children ages 10 and older (caution is required using the craft knife) If younger children wish to make these, parents or teachers can help out by cutting the inside spaces or letting the children cut the spaces out with scissors.
