Nautical Tea Lights

Maybe you are planning a little summer evening party on your patio or terrace and need quick, easy and inexpensive ways to decorate it. You can make these bags within a few minutes. The nautical theme fits well to the season and these add a pleasant light as well. After you have completed them, they simply need to dry about an hour before you can use them.

For this project you will need:

- white paper bags
- paper napkins with nautical motifs
- decoupage glue
- flat paint brush
- small glass for tea lights
- battery operated tea light (for safety)

This is how the paper napkin looked like that was used for this project. To make two bags, two halves of the paper napkin were used so that each bag could have a seashell and starfish motif on it.

Instructions:

1. After choosing the paper napkin, cut out the motifs you wish to use on your bags. Then discard all but the top layer of the napkin and arrange them on the bag.

2. Then carefully brush on the glue over the entire motif. The glue saturates and adheres the napkin to the bag. When finished and while the glue is drying, insert something flat, such as a pair of scissors in the bag to separate the top and bottom of the bag, just in case the glue also goes through the paper.
3. Once dry, place a glass in the bag and add the tea light to the glass to use.

These add atmospheric lighting to your tables.
