Isn’t the chick so cute? This is a fun project for kids to make as a decoration for spring. No special shape is needed to make it. The pattern is created for a simple square melting bead peg board.
For this project you will need:
- perler bead square peg board with at least 30 x 30 pegs - yellow, orange and black melting beads - iron and baking paper for fusing - parents or supervisors should do this step - perlon thread for hanging (optional)
1. Print out the pattern for the pattern and follow it to complete this chick. 2. Place baking paper over the beads and iron them so that they adhere to one another. Let it cool. Remove chick from the peg board and turn the picture. Turn the chick over and place baking paper over it once again and iron for a few seconds on the backside. This will stabilize the chick. Try not to move it too much when it is still warm or it may bend. Let the chick cool before using. 3. Pull the perlon thread through one of the center holes at the top and knot for hanging if you like.
