1. You need an even number of freshly cut lavender flowers (22 or 26 with stems), scissors and thin satin ribbon. Prefer darker colored ribbon as the stems tend to stain a lighter colored ribbon.

2. Place the lavender flowers together. Cut at least a yard of satin ribbon and tie a knot about 6 inches or 15 cm from one end of the ribbon just below the flowers as you see in the picture. Leave the short end dangling and use the longer end for the next steps.

3. Turn your flowers upside down so that they are facing downwards. Start bending the stems over the ribbon evenly until all of the stems are bent.

4. This is now how it looks when all stems are bent.

5. Take the long end of your ribbon and start weaving through sections of two stems so that it is always being weaved over two stems and then under two stems. Continue weaving and pull the ribbon tight after each row.

6. Continue in this manner until all of the flowers are covered. This picture shows how it looks.
When finished, wrap the ribbon around the stems a couple of times and tie it into a bow with the other ribbon end. Shorten the stems by cutting them into an even length.
