For this project you will need:
- fingering weight sock yarn in two different colors (2 skeins of black were used plus one skein of rainbow colored yarn. The yarn used was about 420 meters/100 g skein - a set of 5 double pointed metric size 3.5, 3.75 or 4 knitting needles (depending on your knitting gauge) (US 4, 5 or 6, UK /, 9 or 8) that are 15 centimeters or 6 inches long - ruler to measure length - scissors - large eye needle for sewing threads when finished
These socks are easy to make but experience with knitting socks is anyway recommended to make this project. You can also change the colors as you please. These socks were knitted in a ribbing (cuff) and stockinette (sock) stitches to keep the project simple.
Knitting gauge: (measured using the stockinette stitch, 20 stitches and about 30 rows = 10 centimeters or approximately 4 inches

The cuff is knitted in a ribbing stitch using 1 skein of black plus one skein of rainbow colored yarn.
The stripes were knitted using 5 rows of black (doubled) then 2 rows of 1 each of rainbow and black yarn.
The area of the heel and the toe are knitted completely in black (doubled).
