Glass Paint Rose Window Decoration

Painting with glass paints is fun and once the images are dry, they can be adhered to any smooth surface such as tile, mirrors and window. This rose was painted on acetate and cut out. Acetate has the advantage that it makes the image stabile. It can be pressed against the window pane and also be carefully removed to be re-used time and time again. It is easiest to remove the image when it is warm. Either remove it when the sun is shining on it or use a hair dryer to slightly warm it up.

For this project you will need:

- clear sheet of acetate
- black glass paint outliner paint
- glass paints in the colors of red, dark red, green and dark green
- scissors

Craft Pattern: Rose Pattern

Instructions:

1. Print out the rose pattern and place the sheet of acetate over it.
2. Trace the image with the outliner paint and let it dry before continuing.
3. Fill in the areas with red and green paint. Use the darker colors to blend in shading effects to give the rose a more realistic look to it when dry.
4. Let the rose dry and then cut it out and adhere the painted side it to the window.
