Spring Friendship Card with Butterflies

A special friend will enjoy receiving this fresh and cheery card in the spring. The butterflies are especially lovely because you can pull up the wings to give the card extra dimension. This card is made within minutes using a minimal amount of coordinating scrapbook paper, die cuts and brads.

For this project you will need:

- 1 blank white card
- olive green scrapbook paper
- checked scrapbook paper matching the green paper
- Sizzix Sidekick die cutting machine- Sizzix Sizzlets™ “Butterfly #2” and “Friends”
- 4 miniature pink brads
- 3-D foam tape
- stick glue
- ruler
- craft cutting knife

Instructions:

1. Cut out a 7 cm high strip of olive green scrapbook paper that is the width of the card.
2. Cut out a 6 cm high strip of checked scrapbook paper that is the width of the card and glue it centered on to the green strip.
3. Glue the strip now on the bottom third of the card.
4. Die cut 3 olive green butterflies and 1 friends word out of the checked scrapbook paper.
5. Cut out a piece of olive green scrapbook paper that measures 4 x 6 cm. Glue the word “friends” on this piece.
6. Adhere the message on the card. Poke a hole in each of the 4 corners through the rectangle and through the front of the card. Insert a brad in each hole and secure each one on the inside of the card.
7. Add a thin strip of 3-D foam tape to the center of the butterflies and adhere these to the card.
