Felt Stars Christmas Tree Ornaments

Not everyone decorates their tree in the traditional colors of the season. This combination of green, blue, pink, fuchsia and white has somewhat of a tropical feeling to it and looks great on a white tree. The felt stars are quickly made and the sequins add a little sparkle to the project.

For this project you will need:

- felt in the above mentioned colors
- sewing thread matching the felt
- one sequin plus one seed bead for each star that matches the center star
- batting

Craft Pattern: Star Templates

Instructions:

1. Print out the star templates and transfer the markings onto three colors of felt. You will need two larger stars that are one color, one middle sized star in a second color and one small star in a third color.
2. Baste stitch the smaller star centered on the middle star. Then baste stitch the middle star centered on one of the two larger stars. Sew a sequin and seed bead to the middle of the small star.
3. Place the two large stars now back to back. Then start at the top point of the large star and blanket stitch the stars together. Before you close off the hole, fill batting into the star and distribute it evenly.
4. Finally, sew a matching thread loop to the top of the star for hanging.
