Faux Metal Heart Hanger
Scrapbook paper is not just for scrapbooking! With so many lovely designs to choose from, it is fun coming up with new ideas for it. This idea was inspired by the paper itself. Seeing the antique broken paint design reminded of metal or tin hangers from days past. After deciding on a motif, such as a heart, the rest was easy.

For this project you will need:
- sheet of scrapbook paper - here the paper “Winter White Scroll” from Flair Designs was used - clear varnish - paint brush - fiberfill - craft glue - gold wire for hanging - needle for poking holes

Instructions:
1. Cut out 2 same size hearts from your choice of scrapbook paper. 2. Turn one heart over so that the wrong side is up. Draw a line of glue around all but 3 inches of the outside edge. Match the wrong side of the second heart now to this heart and press hearts together. 3. Wait for glue to dry before continuing. Once glue is dry, fill the heart with fiberfill to give it a puffy look. When finished, now glue the remaining open edge together and let it dry. 4. Poke 2 holes in the top of the heart. Now you want to add 3 layers of varnish to both sides of the heart. Let the varnish dry completely between each layer. 5. Once finished, add a wire through the poked holes and spiral curl the wire ends for a finished look.

Clear varnish is added to the paper to give it a sort of shine just like metal once the project is completed.
