Spring Wood Craft - Wooden Flowers

A single one of these flowers looks good on its own and even makes a nice gift. A group of these flowers looks even more impressive and just adds cheer to anywhere you place them.

Wood Craft for Spring - Flowers Decoration

For this project you will need:

- plywood, 10 mm thick
- acrylic paint in green, dark green, white... and any colors you wish your flowers to be like red or yellow
- wood glue
- wooden dowel 12 cm long for each flower stem and 5 mm in diameter
- for each flower a wooden half ball, 2.5 cm in diameter
- drill with 5 mm bit

Pattern: Wooden Flowers Template

Height including base: 20 cm

Instructions:

1. Print out the pattern so the diameter of the base measures 8 cm in diameter. Transfer the markings onto the wood and saw the pieces out.
2. Paint the pieces accordingly and drybrush the edges to add more depth.
3. Drill a hole in the center of the leaf piece and in the flower. See “x” markings on pattern.
4. Insert the wooden dowel in the holes to assemble the flowers. If necessary, add a drop of glue to the holes.
5. Glue the flowers to the bases. To add stability to the flower, poke a small hole through the bottom of the leaf pieces and the center of the base and insert a broken tooth pick in the holes to hold the flower in place.
