Christmas Card Craft Idea- Wintery Snowman Christmas Card

All it takes is just a little diecutting and embossing, and you will have this card finished in no time for the holidays. The snowman figure was found on a fabric panel. The technique on how to make this figure can be found in the intructions.

 

 

Embossed Snowman Christmas Card

For this project you will need:

- white folded card
- purple, lilac and white cardstock
- Sizzix Big Shot
- Sizzix embossing folders with snowflakes, Merry Christmas saying and Cuttlebug folder with spots
  texture
- Sizzix Originals die “Bookplates”
- Spellbinders oval shaped die or cut an oval out using decorative edged scissors
- icicles die or border punch with icicles
- fabric with snowmen motifs
- fusible web
- sharp scissors
- 3-D foam tape
- double-sided adhesive tape
- stick glue
- peel-off sticker with Christmas wish (here the wish is in German - “Frohes Fest” is another way of saying
  “Happy Holidays”
- 2 small purple mini-brads

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Cut out an oval shape out of white cardstock. Now emboss the oval, the lilac and purple papers and adhere them on the card in a similar way as seen in the picture.
2. Die cut or punch out an icicle border and adhere it over the seam between the lilac and purple papers.
3. Adhere the oval on the card using 3-D foam tape to give it height.
4. Create the snowman by following this
Fusing Fabric tutorial and then adhere the snowman onto the oval shape.
5. Die cut the bookplate and stick the Christmas wish sticker onto it. Insert brads into the small holes on both sides of the bookplate.
