Spring Greeting Card - “Tulip”

An elegant and simple card to give on birthdays or other occasions. When choosing your motif, choose a motif that is larger so the motif itself dominates the front of the card. The card is easily made and finished within an hour.

Spring Cards - Card with Tulip Motif

For this project you will need:

- dark red card
- white cardstock
- Fiskars embossing plate with dots motif
- embossing stylus
- paper napkin with tulip or flower of choice
- fusible web
- scissors
- white cardboard
- 3-D pads
- decorative edged scissors

Instructions:

1. Follow the instructions listed in the techniques below to create the tulip motif. You will need 1 flower motif. Cut it exactly out and place it on the side in the meantime.
2. Emboss a rectangle piece of white cardstock that is smaller than the card. Cut out using the decorative edged scissors and adhere to the front center of the card.
3. Using the decorative edged scissors, cut away a 1 cm wide strip from the right side of the card front. Using again the decorative edged scissors, cut a 2 cm wide strip of white cardstock that is the same height of your card. Adhere this strip to the backside of the card front so that about 1 cm is extending beyond the right edge.
4. Cut pieces of the foam tape and adhere them to the backside of the tulip. Now adhere the tulip on the card.
