“Trick or Treat” Halloween Card

If you are someone who likes to create personal greeting cards or invitations for parties, you will have fun making this card. It uses various craft techniques such as stamping and embossing which make it intersting to look at. The card is versatile and can also be used as a greeting card for the Halloween season.

 

 

Halloween Card - Trick or Treat

Supplies Needed:

- white card measuring 15 x 21 cm (folded it becomes 15 x 10.5 cm)
- white cardstock
- black scrapbook paper with spider webs (DCVW “The Fall Matt Stack) was used for this card
- orange satin band
- paper napkin motif with ghost and black cat
- fusible web
- rubber stamp “Trick or Treat”
- black pigment ink - (Versa Color™) was used for this card
- clear emossing powder
- orange netting ribbon
- Cuttlebug™ embossing machine
- Cuttlebug embossing folder “Distressed Stripes”
- Sizzix™ Sidekick®
- Sizzix™ 13” Cutting Pad (extra long)
- Sizzix™ Sizzlit® Decorative Strip - “Wingo Zingo”™ Alphabet
- one 1” round clear self-adhesive bubble
- 2 small metallic orange brads
- small hole puncher
- 3-D foam tape
- double sided adhesive

Instructions:

1. First, emboss the white cardstock using your Cuttlebug™ embossing machine. Adhere this piece now onto your card.
2. Tear a piece out of your scrapbookpaper and adhere it to the link half of the card.
3. Cut a 18 cm piece or ribbon and wrap it around the front bottom and tape the ends to the inside of the card. Tie another shorter piece of ribbon to the first and cut a “V” into the ends.
4. Prepare your paper napkin motif using the technique “Paper Napkin Applique Using Fusible Web” and adhere it then onto the card using 3-D foam tape.
5. Stamp and emboss the message “Trick or Treat” onto cardstock and cut out in a rhombus shape. Adhere this piece onto netting using double sided adhesive and cut out with a 7,5 mm or 1/4 inch border. Adhere this piece now using again double sided adhesive onto the card.
6. Adhere a round bubble sticker onto the black spider web paper and cut around the circle. Adhere this now onto the card using a piece of 3-D foam tape.
7. Die cut the word “BOO” out and glue the word onto the right side of the ribbon.
8. Punch a small hole in the top right and bottom right corners. Insert a brad in each hole.
