Stamped Daisy Card For All Occasions

The color yellow just seems so cheerful and friendly and is a great choice for a summer greeting card or birthday card.

Stamped Daisy Card

For this project you will need:

- white 13.5 x 13.5 cm (5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch) blank white card
- DCVW Spring Fling and Summer Days Combo Paper Pack (you will need the paper with the yellow spots)
- yellow textured cardstock
- aquarelle watercolor paper pad (1 sheet) or a sheet of canvas paper
- aquarelle watercolor pencils in the colors of yellow, orange, light green and dark green
- glass with water and small round paint brush
- 3 mini yellow brads
- stick glue
- Fiskars clear stamp set “Petals From Scratch”
- black pigment stamping ink
- clear embossing powder
- heating tool for embossing
- decorative edged scissors
- yellow and white striped ribbon
- thin yellow ribbon
- stick glue
- craft glue
- paper clip or clothes pin (for holding ribbon bow while drying)

Instructions:

(Use the picture as placement guide for the different elements)

1. First cover the top 6 cm with the spotted yellow paper.
2. Then cover and glue the seam between the two papers with the ribbon.
3. Stamp the flower motif and the stem / leaf motif similar to the image above onto the watercolor paper or canvas paper. Add embossing powder to the still wet ink and shake off the excess. Then use the heating tool to set the embossing powder.
4. Take the watercolor pencils and slightly color the images. You do not have to fully color them. Now dip your paint brush into water and “paint” the pencil marks with the water. You will notice how the color flows with the water and gets thinner as you spread. The canvas is an excellent underground for this type of coloring.
5. Let the stamped image dry. Cut it then out to a size of 7 x 10 cm and glue it with stick glue onto the yellow textured cardstock. Then use the decorative edged scissors and cut out a pretty border around the stamped image. Adhere this then to the card.
6. Place 3 mini-brads at the bottom right of the card.
7. Create a pretty bow and glue it to the ribbon on the card. Use a paper clip or clothes pin to hold the bow until it is dry.
