Greeting Card for Spring - Birthday Card - Pink Birthday Card with Butterflies

If you are looking for a pretty birthday card for the spring with a soft look to it, then you may choose to make this card. The butterflies add a touch of romance to the card and it is perfect for a special friend or relative for her birthday. This card is very easy to craft and requires around 20 minutes time to complete.

For this project you will need:
- 1 blank white card
- light pink or mauve pastel scrapbook paper with soft white flowers
- medium pink or mauve scrapbook paper
- peel-off sticker “Happy Birthday”
- dark pink sticker pen (permanent pen for coloring stickers)
- 4 mini pink brads
- 3-D foam tape
- Sizzix Sidekick
- Sizzix Sizzlet “Butterfly “2”
- stick glue
- needle for punching hole
- craft cutting knife
- ruler

Instructions:
1. Using decorative edged scissors, cut out a 5.5 cm wide strip of light pink scrapbook paper that is the width of your card.
2. Adhere this strip now on a piece of medium pink scrapbook paper. Cut a thin border on each long side out. Adhere this strip now on the bottom of the card about 1 cm from the edge.
3. Die cut 3 butterflies out of the medium pink paper. Cut a strip of paper out that is the width of your card and around 1 cm wide. Insert this strip through the butterflies and adhere 3-D foam tape on the backside to secure the butterflies to the strip. Now adhere the butterfly strip on the card as seen in the picture.
4. Cut out a strip of medium pink paper that measures 2 x 10 cm. Color the peel-off wish and adhere this to the strip. Lay the strip on the top center of the card and now punch a hole through each corner and at the same time through the front cover of the card. You may need to place something soft under the card to make the punching easier. Insert the brads to secure this strip to the card.
