Spooky Spiders Tea Light Votive

Leftover material from window netting (to keep the flies out) plus a glass jar were recycled and used to make this inexpensive and spooky project for Halloween. Especially when the lights are out, this jar really adds eerie looks to the room.

 
 

Recycling Craft for Halloween - Spider Tea Light Votive

Supplies Needed:

- glass jar
- white fiber paper
- Cuttlebug die cut and embossing machine
- Cuttlebug die with bats and spider
- black paper
- decoupage glue
- black netting

Instructions:

1. First die cut as many spider as required to cover all around the glass.
2. Then glue the spiders onto the glass using Modge Podge.
3. Tear many pieces of fiber paper and Modge Podge them to cover the glass completely. Let the project dry before continuing.
4. Cut a strip of the netting and tie it around the neck of the jar.
5. If desired, die cut a couple of extra spiders and let them hang onto the netting.
