Christmas Crafts - Christmas Cards - Sparkling Christmas Tree

Some people are natural poets. I like to make cards but never know what to write inside of them. There are a number of possibilities of where to find examples. The internet offers a wonderful amount of sayings, phrases and poems that you can use. Also, you can buy poem books with wonderful Christmas and winter poems to use for your cards.

In the stores there is a remarkable choice of Christmas cards to choose from but no card says “ I care about you” as much as a card that you created yourself. This particular card is done in a matter of minutes and is not difficult to make. You can vary on colors or even change the motif to create a set of different cards. Here is an example of another card such as this one!

Supplies Needed:

-
Blank white card
- green corrugated cardboard
- white vellum with white print “Merry
  Christmas” in different
languages (or design of your choice)
- hole puncher with 4 eyelets
- green fiber paper
- strong double-sided self adhesive sticky
  tape
- glue stick
- large white (clear) star gem
- 4 smaller white (clear) star gems
- 3-D pads

Christmas Card - Sparkling Tree Greeting Card for the Holidays

Instructions:

1. Use the pattern and trace and cut out a Christmas tree out of the corrugated cardboard. Cut off the bottom tier so that there is only 3 tiers. Lay this piece aside.
2. Tear an irregular piece of the fiber paper out and use the stick glue to adhere this piece to the card in the middle.
3. Cut out a rectangle piece of the vellum that is smaller than the size of the card.
4. Lay the vellum on the card and punch a hole through each corner of the vellum and through the card as well.
5. Secure all of the holes with eyelets of your choice.
6. Use the double-sided self sticking tape and stick the corrugated cardboard motif to the card.
7. Stick the large star gem to the motif also using the double-sided self sticking tape. For the smaller motifs, use 3-D pads. This gives the stars depth.
