Winter Snowman and Penguin Christmas Card

The fabric “Dashing Through the Snow” from Teresa Kogut offers many wonderful motifs that can be used to create fun and easy to make cards for either Christmas or winter. This card is just an example of what you can do within a matter of minutes. Perfect for those with minimal time but yet still want to create handmade cards.

For this project you will need:

- dark blue blank card
- white textured cardstock
- white fiber paper
- fabric with country snowmen motifs (for example the fabric “Dashing Through the Snow” by Teresa Kogut
- fusible web and iron
- snowflake die or punch
- white dimensional paint
- 3-D foam pads
- stick glue
- peel-off sticker with Christmas greeting

Instructions:

1. Follow the fusing fabric tutorial to prepare your fabric motif. Fuse the web to the backside of your motif, cut the motif roughly out and fuse onto the white cardstock and then cut it exactly out. Then it is ready to use.
2. Apply a couple of bigger pieces of 3-D foam tape to the backside of the snowman motif and lay aside for the moment.
3. Cut a hilly shape out of your textured cardstock and glue it to the card.
4. Tear a piece of fiber paper and glue it to the blue background area.
5. Pull away the protective paper backing from the 3-D foam tape and adhere the snowmen motif to your card.
6. Punch out 2 snowflakes and adhere these to the card.
7. Stick on the peel-off message.
8. Dot on snow with the dimensional paint and set the card aside to let it dry.
