Christmas Crafts and Cards - Snowman Gift Tags

How you wrap a present is just as important as the present itself. In fact, a beautifully wrapped present can make any present seem more exclusive than what it really is. Handcrafted gift tags give your presents that special something after your have finished wrapping and complete the total look of your present. This tag is simple to make and has a country charm. It looks well on packages wrapped in the traditional Christmas colors and packages that have a natural look.

For this project you will need:
- dark green and dark red cardstock - fabric with nostalgic snowmen motifs - piece of white cotton - aslan foil or sturdy foil with one adhesive side - hole puncher and eyelet - double sided adhesive - Fiskars tag template

Instructions:
1. Print out the gift tag template, make a template out of cardboard with the pattern and trace as many as you need on cardstock. 2. Cut the tags out and punch a hole in the top middle of the card. Place an eyelet through the hole. 3. Cut a rectangle piece of the off-white fabric out that is slightly smaller than the card and pull threads away from all sides to fray the material. Do this about 1/4” on all sides (0.5 cm). 4. Cut a rectabgle piece of fusible web smaller than the off-white fabric and adhere it on the backside of the fabric. Fuse the fabric onto the gift tag. 5. Cut a snowman motif out of the fabric and fuse web also on the backside of the motif. Fuse this then onto a white cardstock and cut the snowman exactly out. 5. Place 2-sided self-adhesive foil on the backside of the snowman and adhere it onto the fabric on the card.
