Christmas and Winter Craft - Winter Snowflake Card

Not only is this snowflake card perfect to send for Christmas, it is also a lovely greeting card or birthday to give to friends or family members that have January or February birthdays.

 

 

Snowflake Winter and Christmas Card

For this project you will need:

- blank white card
- navy blue and white cardstock
- scrapbook paper with snow greetings: the page used here is one is from the “DCWV Text Prints the
  Paper Stack” 12x12 inch paper
- Cuttlebug with snowflake embossing folder
- Sizzix Sidekick with snowflake Sizzlet
- 4 navy blue mini brads
- white effect yarn
- 3-D foam tape
- double sided adhesive tape
- white satin ribbon

 

 

 

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of the scrapbook paper that is 6 cm high and the width of your card and adhere it to the bottom half of the card.
2. Adhere a piece of white ribbon over the seam of the paper and the card and tape the ends to the inside of the card.
3. Cut a 5 cm x height of your card, rectangle out and emboss it using your Cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder. Adhere this to the left side of the card.
4. Cut a 6 cm x 10 cm white rectangle out and punch a hole in each of the 4 corners and insert a brad in each hole.
5. Cut a 4 cm x 5 cm navy blue rectangle and adhere it to the white rectangle using the 3D foam tape.
6. Create a snowflake die cut using the Sizzix Sidekick and the snowflake template. Adhere this to the navy blue rectangle using a piece of foam tape.
7. Tie the effect yarn around the white rectangle on the right side and create a bow in the front.
8. Now you can adhere the white rectangle to the front of the card.
