Christmas and Winter Crafts

Christmas Crafts - Christmas Cards - Snow

This card is perfect for giving at Christmas or for a winter birthday. Different techniques were used in creating the card including die cutting, stitching and embossing.

Christmas Card - Snow Greeting Card for the Holidays

For this project you will need:

- Blue cardstock
- White cardstock
- Sizzix Sidekick and Sizzix Sizzlet “Snowflake”
- Jumbo paper punch with snowflake
- Metal embossing template with stripes
- Alphabet paper punches letters S, N, O, and W
- 7 white sequins and 7 white seed beads
- White thread and needle
- Scissors and ruler
- 3-D foam pads
- 3-D foam tape
- Stick glue

Instructions:

1. Cut the blue cardstock and fold into a card.
2. Measure a piece of white cardstock the width of the card plus a little more than half the height.
3. Emboss the piece of white cardstock by following the instructions below and adhere it then to the card.
4. Punch out 3 snowflakes and die cut one larger snowflake. Use a small amount of stick glue and glue the larger snowflake onto blue cardstock. Cut an even square around the snowflake. Punch through the holes through the back of the blue square.
5. Follow the tutorial to stitch the sequins and beads to the larger snowflake.
6. Glue the blue square now on a piece of white cardstock. Cut a small border around the square. Place foam tape on the backside of the square and adhere it to the card.
7. Add 3-D pads to the backside of the other snowflakes and adhere them to the top of the card.
8. Punch out the letters SNOW and stick them to 2cm x 2cm pieces of blue cardstock. Adhere these blocks now with 3-D pads onto a strip of white cardstock. Place 3-D foam on the back of the strip and place it now on the card.
