Paper Crafts for Summer and All Occasions - Origami Gift Box

Often we have small gifts and need something to put them in. This box is an origami box created by folding construction paper. It is so easy and so fun to do and once you have made a couple of them, you will find yourself making these on a regular basis for slightly larger or smaller gifts!

For this project you will need:
- typing, gift wrap or construction paper (the paper should be neither too thick nor too thin)
- scissors
|

|
|
|
Instructions:
1. You will need to cut out 2 squares. For this box, the square piece for the bottom of this box is 21 x 21 cm and the top square is a 21.5 x 21.5 cm piece. The lid is slightly larger so that it will fit snugly over the bottom piece when both pieces are completed.
2. Once you have finished making the box you can decorate it as you please. Perhaps you could use a motif puncher and decorate it, or perhaps you would still like to wrap it or tie a ribbon around it.
