Greeting Cards for Christmas and Winter - Cheerful Sledding Snowman Christmas Card

The snowman looks just too happy on his sled this winter and the flakes inside of the card look like sparkling snowflakes falling from the sky. To create this card, you will need time but it is well worth the effort.

Snowman Shaker Card

For this project you will need:

- white card
- white and light blue cardstock
- Cuttlebug or Double-Do machine
- Cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder
- glitter and flakes to fill
- 3-D foam tape
- double-sided adhesive tape
- ruler and scissors
- 3-D sticker with snowman motif
- acetate foil

Instructions:

1. Cut a hole through the card cover that has a border of 2 cm on each side.
2. Now on the reverse side of card cover, place adhesive tape all along the edges around the cut out.
3. Cut a piece of acetate foil to cover the cut out hole plus overlap. Remove the protective papers of the double sided adhesive and adhere the acetate foil cutout to the card.
4. Now add double sided foam tape completely along the hole. Make sure there are no gaps.
5. Fill in the acetate area with some iridescent flakes and glitter and then pull the protective paper off of the foam tape. Place also a couple of pieces of foam tape to the backside of the head.
6. Measure the card and cut a same size sheet of blue cardstock. Emboss with the Cuttlebug folder according to the manufacturers instructions. Adhere the blue embossed sheet now to the backside of the cover to enclose the flakes.
7. Adhere the 3-D snowman sticker to the front side of the card.
