Simple Bunny
This bunny is an easy project for Easter or any other time of the year if you like bunnies. Because of its thin design, it fits on any shelf or window sill. It is cut out of 18 mm wood and a perfect idea for those just learning to cut with a saw.

For this project you will need:
- 18 mm pine wood or wood type of your choice - acrylic paints in light brown, dark brown, black and white - standard scroll sawing supplies - sandpaper - paintbrushes - toothbrush - orange raffia or ribbon of choice

Instructions:
1. Print out the pattern to fit the size of a sheet of typing paper and trace the pattern onto your wood. 2. Saw the pattern out and sand it down until all of the rough and frayed edges are gone. You may choose to sand it completely smooth but it will look more rustical when left more natural. 3. Take your light brown paint and thin it down with water until it is very thin. Apply the paint to the entire body and let it dry completly. Repeat for the other side and for the side edges. The bunny looks charming when the wood grain shows through. If you want the bunny be darker, simply apply another coat of the thinned paint. 4. Drybrush dark brown on the edges once the paint is dry and you are satisfied with the outcome. 5. Paint a large black circle for its eye and let it also dry before adding the white dot as a light reflection. 6. Tie a ribbon around the bunny’s neck and make a bow.

You may choose to create a base for it but it can stand perfectly on its own without one. This would make a nice gift for someone as well.
