Green is the color of St. Patrick’s Day and if you like to decorate for this occasion, you can easily make a shamrock like the one below out of scrapbook paper and cardboard boxes.
For this project you will need:
- cardboard boxes - green designer scrapbook paper - green embroidery floss and needle - button to match paper - pricking needle and soft pricking mat - stick glue - craft glue for gluing on button
1. Cut out the shamrock shape once from cardboard and twice from the scrapbook paper. One side of the paper will need to be cut in reverse. 2. Adhere the paper with stick glue to each side of the cardboard. 3. Following the example in the picture, prick holes at a regular interval within the shamrock shape to look like four hearts. Prick holes within the stem. 4. Back stitch the holes as seen in the picture. 5. Glue the button on the center when finished. 6. Attach a piece of string to the top for hanging.
